On September 12, two major bike races — “Russia” and “Moscow” — will take place in the capital. Both professional athletes will be able to participate,
as well as amateurs.
Cycling race “Moscow”
The amateur race “Moscow” is part of the “Cyclingrace” series of events, which are held every year in the capital and the surrounding region. It will mark the end of the road cycling season of the series. Participants will ride along a unique route along the Moscow River embankment and the Garden Ring, featuring high-speed and hilly sections, with start and finish points at Vorobyovy Gory. The organizers have prepared two formats — a bike race and a cycling ride.
The first — a competitive option — is for experienced athletes. They will be divided into several groups, which will be formed based on the results of previous years and the level of training.
Participants of all ages and skill levels take part in the bike race. This format is suitable for beginner cycling enthusiasts who will complete the course at a comfortable pace.
The cycling race distance will be up to 82.4 kilometers, while the cycling events will cover 55.1 and 27.7 kilometers depending on the number of laps chosen.

The cycling race “Russia”
On the same day, the final stage of the multi-day cycling race “Russia” will take place. It will be one of the most spectacular in the series. The athletes will start and finish on Kosygin Street in the area of the observation deck on Vorobyovy Gory. From here, participants will set off on a route that allows them to pass by iconic city landmarks and see Moscow from different perspectives.
The racers will have to cover 64 kilometers along Berezhkovskaya Embankment and the Garden Ring. Some of the main challenges will be the hilly sections and the climbs on the Vorobyovy Gory.
Men and women aged 18 and over can participate in the bicycle race. Preliminary registration is required registration.
The “Russia” cycling race takes place from May to September and includes eight stages. The series features cities such as Kostroma, Vladimir, Suzdal, Yaroslavl, Ivanovo, Kalyazin, Nizhny Novgorod, Sergiyev Posad, and Moscow. The total distance is 504 kilometers.
