More than 200 events were held in coworking centers for socially oriented non-profit organizations (NPOs) during the summer. Over 14,000 people participated in them — beneficiaries of the foundations, volunteers, and concerned residents of the capital.
“The infrastructure of the NGO coworking network allows nonprofit organizations to scale projects and engage city residents in them. Over the three summer months, more than 200 events took place in the city with the support of coworking spaces—charity runs, family festivals, and folklore celebrations,” she said

Charity run “Tailed Mile”
In the Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo park, the foundation “Kotodetki” held the annual charity run “Tail Mile.” More than 1,130 people participated — both professional runners and amateurs who started the race alongside their pets. The program included races over various distances, and after the finish, guests were treated to an entertainment program with active games and prize draws.
An important role in preparing the race was played by the coworking center in the Northwestern Administrative District, located at 5 Marshal Novikov Street. Here visitors received starter packs in advance containing participant numbers, water, souvenirs, and a commemorative badge. The center’s team also provided photography services for the event.
Slavic holiday Kupala Night
Regional public organization “National-Cultural Autonomy ‘Belarusians of Moscow'” With the support of the NGO coworking center at VDNKh, a Slavic holiday Kupala Night was held. The organizers used the center’s premises free of charge to prepare props for workshops and meetings with creative groups.
In the theatrical part of the event, performances were given by the creative group “Russian Holiday”, the Moscow city creative group “Folk Music Theatre ‘Ivan da Marya’”, the folk dance ensemble “Marusiny Zabavy”, the folk ensemble “Ataman’s Soul”, the pop-modern dance studio “PROdvizhenie”, as well as the art group “Syabry of Starobilsk” from the Luhansk People’s Republic and other groups.
For guests, there were also master classes on face painting, weaving wreaths from flowers and herbs, painting paper plates, making themed badges and leather bracelets with names in Glagolitic script, as well as on conducting round dances. Children were awaited by activities with animators in a separate area.
Celebration of the birthday of the non-profit organization “I Hear You”
With the support of the coworking center, a celebration was held dedicated to the third anniversary of the autonomous non-profit organization “I hear you”. It provides systemic support to families raising children with hearing impairments — from the moment of diagnosis to the employment of adults.
The choice of the coworking center venue in the Eastern Autonomous District was driven by the need to find a small space where one could comfortably spend time outdoors and quickly move under cover in case of rain. In addition, it was necessary to have the possibility to divide the space into zones. The coworking center was perfect: an open-air stage, chairs and tables for the area with refreshments and activities for children, as well as a cozy indoor space for the entertainment program. The team could transform the venue to suit their needs: one zone was turned into a lecture hall for summing up, the other into a place for a coffee break. For the children, an entertainment program with animators was organized, and for the parents, a presentation was held showcasing the results of three years of work and discussing plans for the coming year with them.

What services are available in coworking centers
Non-profit organizations can not only book equipped halls and meeting rooms, but also receive comprehensive support. They have access to presentation and concert halls, lounge areas, individual workspaces, as well as specially arranged kitchens and outdoor summer spaces for street events. Some centers also have summer verandas.
Coworking center staff provide support at all stages — from preparation to informational assistance. Residents have access to event photography, printing of handout materials, and help in organizing sessions.
The network of NGO coworking centers is the largest free support system for the non-profit sector in the country. Today, 13 such venues operate in all administrative districts of Moscow.
