In the Tsaritsyno district in the south of the capital, construction of a school with 900 places is underway. Specialists have already installed the building’s load-bearing structures. This was reported by the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Urban Development Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky.
The building is being constructed at the address: Kavkazsky Boulevard, land plot No. 51/4.
“The building of variable height from two to three levels with a total area of about 23 thousand square meters will have a U-shaped form. The construction of the underground part and the supporting structures of the above-ground part has already been fully completed. Work is actively underway on roofing, facade works, glazing, and interior finishing. After the completion of construction, the facility will be handed over to the city’s education system,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky.
The architectural concept of the future school is based on three key principles: comfort, safety, and aesthetics. The building’s facades are a combination of wall planes made of concrete tiles imitating brick, glass fiber concrete panels, and stained-glass glazing. The color scheme of the facades is kept in light tones with contrasting accents and harmoniously blends into the surrounding residential development.
The building is designed according to a cluster principle: separate educational blocks are allocated for primary, middle, and high school, united by a common infrastructure. A separate block is provided for the younger grades. Shared by all students will be a multifunctional space for relaxation and communication, as well as a dining hall and media library. The school includes two sports halls, an IT polygon for computer science and robotics lessons, and specialized laboratories.
The construction of the school has been underway since July 2024 under the supervision of the city State Construction Supervision Committee (Mosgosstroynadzor).
“The Committee oversees the implementation of the school project on a land plot of almost two hectares from the preparatory stage to acceptance. The inspectors have already conducted the seventh on-site inspection, during which they evaluated the quality of the completed facade and finishing works, as well as the materials used for compliance with the project documentation requirements and the approved architectural and urban planning solution,” clarified the chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor.
Elevators and a barrier-free environment are provided to ensure access for people with limited mobility.
Comprehensive landscaping will be carried out on the adjacent territory: a stadium with running tracks, a football field, team sports grounds, areas for passing GTO standards, playgrounds with shade canopies for younger classes, an educational and experimental zone for botany classes, as well as covered bicycle parking will be provided.
The educational facility is being constructed as part of the residential complex “Kavkazsky Boulevard, 51.”
