Since the reopening of the renovated Leningradsky railway station, inspectors from the Passenger Mobility Support Center (PMSC) have assisted more than four thousand passengers with reduced mobility. Specialists help passengers with hearing impairments and musculoskeletal disorders, elderly people, large families, and parents with children in strollers. They work daily for almost 20 hours a day — from 05:30 to 01:00. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“We continuously improve the accessibility of transport as instructed by Sergey Sobyanin. Most often, after the reopening of the renovated Leningradsky railway station, COMP inspectors assisted passengers with visual impairments and musculoskeletal disabilities. Leningradsky station is one of 345 locations outside the metro where COMP employees work. After extensive repairs, it became the first station where Moscow transport services have been fully integrated,” said Maxim Liksutov.

Leningradsky station serves as both the starting and ending point of the escort route. Within the station itself, inspectors provide assistance without prior appointment. A passenger can simply approach any available employee. That person will guide them to the required train, and the staff of JSC “Russian Railways” will help to settle in the carriage.

If one of the route points is outside Leningradsky Railway Station, a request for free accompaniment must be submitted at least 24 hours before departure. During this time, the metro will plan the work of TsOMP inspectors and bring the necessary equipment. If the passenger arrives in Moscow, the specialist will accompany them from the doors of the long-distance train car to the metro station or a point in the city specified in the request.

COMP inspectors may meet a person at a rail frame station or at one of more than 300 locations outside the metro: medical and cultural centers, bus stations, and other facilities. Throughout the entire journey, an employee will stay close to the passenger, even if several types of city transport are planned to be used.
