The Moscow Employment Fair will take place on August 27 at the Practical Training Center “Professions of the Future” in Pechatniki. Job seekers will be able to meet leading employers and learn about current vacancies and working conditions in the industrial sector.
The event will take place on August 27 from 11:00 to 14:00 at the address: Volgogradsky Prospect, building 42, block 8 (Tekstilshchiki metro station). Participation is free, registration is required pre-registration.
“At our center in Pechatniki, the Moscow Industrial Employment Fair will take place. Today, this is one of the most dynamically developing economic sectors. According to the Moscow employment service, over the past three years, the incomes of workers in the sector have increased by 28 percent, and the average salary of qualified specialists currently amounts to about 200 thousand rubles. In the capital, welders, turners, CNC machine operators, REA installers, and mechanical assembly fitters are especially in demand. At the fair, we have gathered leading enterprises of the industry so that job seekers can learn about vacancies and communicate directly with employers, as well as see the work of specialists in practice — at the unique platform of the “Professions of the Future” center in Pechatniki,” said Andrey Tarasov, head of the Moscow employment service and the “Professions of the Future” center.
At the fair, 40 of the largest organizations will offer more than 1,500 jobs. The companies include PJSC Rosseti Moscow Region, Russian Space Systems, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Moscow, Moscow Machine-Building Plant Avangard, Automatica Concern, the Steel Research Institute, and other enterprises. Additionally, for the first time, the companies Moskovskaya Verf, Svyazstroydetal, Tekhnomash-VOS, and BioJet will present their job offers. The enterprises are looking for qualified specialists: welders, turners, milling machine operators, CNC machine operators, radio-electronic equipment assemblers, mechanical assembly fitters, electricians, and engineers of various specializations.
Event attendees will be able to undergo career orientation testing and receive a consultation from a career mentor. The specialist will determine the suitable direction and explain the opportunities for education and employment. Workshops and VR immersion into in-demand professions have also been prepared for participants.
The feature of the job fair is the opportunity not only to learn about vacancies but also to see specialists’ work and try your hand at different professions. For example, in the ‘Radio Assembly’ workshop, guests will be shown the process of assembling water meter units and soldering pipes, as well as helped to master the basics of installation and defectoscopy of electronic components. In the electrical installation workshop, there will be a master class ‘Everything about home electricity: the master’s toolkit and system check.’ In addition, participants will get acquainted with the basics of turning under the guidance of master mentors and try themselves as an electric bus driver or an electric train operator.
At the fair, it will also be possible to receive consultations on short-term training and professional development. For those who want to master a new profession, career mentors will select one of 75 educational programs. The training lasts up to three months and is conducted on equipment identical to that used in real production facilities. At the same time, 80 percent of the center’s graduates find jobs while still studying, and salaries increase on average by 50 percent after training.
As Sergey Sobyanin noted in the strategy for developing Moscow’s social protection system until 2030, the city offers every Muscovite and residents of other regions the opportunity to develop their human resource potential and successfully integrate into the country’s largest labor market. To this end, the capital is creating a modern educational infrastructure for adults and schoolchildren across a wide range of training programs, and this work will continue.
The Employment Service of the city of Moscow is the largest state personnel operator, which helps the residents of the capital in finding jobs. Its structure includes employment offices, many of which are located in public service centers “My Documents.” Flagship centers are open at the addresses: Kuusinena Street, building 2, block 1, and Shabolovka Street, building 48. The specialized employment center “My Career” is located on Sergiya Radonezhskogo Street (building 1, structure 1).
At the “Professions of the Future” center (38 Shchepkina Street, building 1), you can master one of 75 in-demand professions in various sectors of the economy in no more than three and a half months. Career mentors will help with employment after completing the training. In the fall of 2025, the “Professions of the Future” center opened its own practical training site in Pechatniki.
