Over five years of implementation renovation programs About 8.2 thousand city residents have signed contracts for comfortable housing in new buildings in the Tsaritsyno district. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“The first owners of comfortable apartments under the renovation program in Tsaritsyno were residents of two five-story buildings at house 10 on Yerevanskaya Street, who began relocating to a neighboring new building in August 2021. Since then, contracts for modern housing in the district have been signed by all the city residents from 25 old buildings, and Muscovites from another 11 houses are still processing documents for relocation. Thus, the owners of new apartments in Tsaritsyno have already become almost a quarter of the renovation program participants — about 8.2 thousand Muscovites out of 36 thousand, who are planned to be relocated here to modern residential complexes,” said Vladimir Efimov.
The city handed over 15 new buildings to participants of the resettlement in Tsaritsyno, of which four are located on Kantemirovskaya Street, three each on Bekhtereva and Erevan Streets. In addition, modern residential complexes have appeared on Kavkazsky Boulevard, Kaspiyskaya Street, and Proletarsky Avenue.
“Over the past five years, the most contracts for apartments under the renovation program in the Tsaritsyno district were signed by residents in 2022. At that time, more than three thousand people received equivalent housing. Since the beginning of 2026, more than two thousand participants in the resettlement have processed documents for moving, approximately the same number of Muscovites became owners of equivalent housing over the entire past year. The construction of houses under the renovation program allows the city not only to renew the housing stock but also to implement modern approaches to creating balanced development. With the opening of stores, household services, and city organizations on the first floors of new residential complexes, accessibility to goods and services increases, and residents of the district gain the opportunity to work near their homes,” she emphasized.
Ekaterina Solovyova, Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital’s Department of City Property.
Next to the new residential buildings constructed under the renovation program, the territories are being landscaped, children’s and sports playgrounds are appearing, and greening is being carried out.
According to the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the capital’s Department of Urban Development Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky, a total of 141 residential buildings in the Tsaritsyno area have been included in the renovation program. Of these, 18 have already been dismantled. All participants in the program will gradually receive apartments in modern residential complexes as resettlement progresses. These buildings are constructed considering the latest requirements for the safety and quality of residential buildings. The apartments feature improved layouts with wide corridors and spacious kitchens. The buildings themselves and the surrounding areas are designed with the principles of a barrier-free environment in mind: they take into account the needs of all residents, including families with young children and people with limited mobility.
To ensure that moving does not become a major financial burden for program participants or cause them a lot of trouble instead of being a joyful event, the service operates “Moving Assistance”, which has already been utilized by more than 2,200 families in Tsaritsyn.
As noted in the capital Department of Information Technology, preparing to move will help general instruction, available in the super-service “Move under the Renovation Program” on the mos.ru portal. It allows you to find out how the entire process is organized and what documents will be needed. By setting the parameters of the move, a resident can familiarize themselves with the scenario of the upcoming relocation depending on the specific life situation. Moscow residents who are already moving will be helped by a detailed personalized instruction, which is automatically customized for each individual. This will help speed up the move and make it more comfortable.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses.
