Moscow’s industry plays a strategic role in the supply of elevator equipment to the regions of Russia. The most important area of work at the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant is the installation of the equipment it produces. In the first half of 2026, its specialists installed more than 1,800 elevators — over 1,300 in Moscow and more than 580 in the regions of Russia.
As part of the largest agreement providing for the supply of nearly 600 elevators to the Samara region, the plant’s specialists commissioned 209 units of equipment. Installation work has also been completed for 53 elevators in the Penza region, 46 in Chelyabinsk, 33 in Murmansk, 28 in Tyumen, and so on. All deliveries are made on time and with maximum quality.
As the number of commissioned elevators increases, the company is also expanding its service sector. Today, the service department of the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant supports four thousand elevators and escalators in Moscow, providing their technical maintenance and reliable operation.
In the first half of 2026, the enterprise mastered the production of a number of new product types, in particular completing the development and certification of vertical-type lifting platforms for people with disabilities. An advanced conveyor line for the production of energy-efficient gearless winches — one of the key elements of elevator equipment — was launched. The winches developed at the plant, with the highest level of localization in Russia, are characterized by reduced noise and vibration levels, as well as compact dimensions. They can be used in buildings without machine rooms and consume approximately 25 percent less electricity.
“Currently, the first elevator engineering and vertical transport cluster in Russia is being formed at the plant. It will accelerate the implementation of high-tech domestic developments and strengthen the technological sovereignty of the Russian vertical transport industry,” emphasized the Mayor of Moscow.
