In the Eastern Administrative District of the capital, construction continues on a school with a capacity of 550 students. It is being built on Otkrytoye Highway, near 1st Irtyshsky Drive and Tagilskaya Street. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Development Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.

“A four-story school building with a total area of over 15,400 square meters is being constructed in Metrogorodok. Currently, its construction readiness exceeds 60 percent: specialists are installing engineering equipment and connecting to utility networks, completing facade work and interior finishing. The school is designed based on the principle of functional zoning and is divided into three key zones: the left wing is allocated for elementary school, the right wing for middle and high school, and the central part houses common school facilities. After commissioning, the facility will be handed over to the city and integrated into the capital’s education system,” said Vladimir Efimov.

The ventilated insulated facade is clad with concrete tiles imitating decorative brickwork in three color schemes. It is also finished with metal cassettes.

“Special attention in the project is given to creating a modern educational environment. The school will house an IT polygon, as well as academic and engineering laboratory-research complexes. For younger classes, there are universal and specialized classrooms planned. For students of the basic and senior school, universal and specialized classrooms are equipped, including those for studying natural sciences, foreign languages, computer science, and technology. It will also contain food and medical blocks, a multifunctional multi-light space, a media library with a lecture auditorium, and places for relaxation,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Moscow Department of Urban Policy.

Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The building will be fully adapted for people with limited mobility.

Next to the school, there will be a sports core with basketball and volleyball courts, athletics running tracks, a jumping pit, as well as separate areas for active games and gymnastics. For outdoor activities, a site for school-wide events and a quiet relaxation zone will be equipped. As part of botanical studies, a place for planting field and vegetable crops will appear on the plot. Specialists will install lamps, plant trees and shrubs, as well as set up small architectural forms and equip play and sports complexes.

Work of the capital’s employees State Construction Supervision Committee (Mosgosstroynadzor) guarantees that the constructed facilities comply with the requirements of the project documentation and technical regulations. Inspectors monitor the construction of the school at all stages, noted the head of the agency. Anton Slobodchikov. Specialists conducted three on-site inspections during which they assessed the quality of the completed monolithic and facade structures, as well as the materials used.

Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin reported that a building was constructed on Bazovskaya Street in the Zapadnoye Degunino district kindergarten for 150 seats.
