Specialists urban infrastructure complex they completed the installation of the span structures of the new pedestrian bridge on Bolotnaya Embankment. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Pyotr Biryukov.
“The bridge, approximately 170 meters long, will be located in the bed of the Vodootvodny Canal and will connect sections of the Bolotnaya Embankment, which are separated by Serafimovich Street. Currently, the installation of the bridge spans has been fully completed, and simultaneously, two staircases have been constructed,” noted Petr Biryukov.
Currently, specialists are carrying out the exterior finishing of the bridge structure and connecting the span structure with the staircases using expansion joints.
At the same time, the artificial embankment-dam, which was erected before the start of construction, is being dismantled. It made it possible to carry out work from the water in limited space under the bridge and keep the roadway open for traffic. In addition, specialists are working on the installation of the outdoor lighting system and architectural and artistic illumination, which will decorate the structure in the evening.
After the completion of the project, a unified pedestrian route will be created, connecting Vorobyovy Gory, Gorky Park, the Krymskaya Embankment, and Balchug Island.
