Support for those who are far from home consists of concrete actions and the involvement of caring people. The Moscow city branch of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps continues its humanitarian work within the framework of the project “RGGU – Our Own”.
Another business trip to the Luhansk People’s Republic has concluded. The head of MGO VSKS, Maksim Dzhetygenov, delivered humanitarian aid to military personnel carrying out tasks in the Siversk direction.
During the trip, there was also a visit to the robotics complex, where specialists are engaged in the development and assembly of ground unmanned vehicles.
Who are MGO VSKS?
The Moscow city branch of the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps unites volunteers from educational institutions of the capital. Participants in the movement undergo special training, acquire first aid skills and emergency response actions, and participate in humanitarian missions, preventive, and volunteer projects.
The headquarters of the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Volunteer Search Squad is located on the territory of the State University of Management, so the cooperation between the university and volunteers has already become part of a large systematic effort.
“GUU – OUR own”: from the university — to those who need support
“GUU – SVOim” is a joint humanitarian initiative of the State University of Management and the Moscow City Organization of the All-Russian Volunteer Civic Union (MGO VSKS), operating since January 2024. Within its framework, necessary aid is collected and sent to the fighters of the Special Military Operation (SVO). The preparation of shipments involves the university administration, staff, students, and volunteers.
At the same time, humanitarian work is not limited to collecting ready-made items. One of the regular activities is weaving camouflage nets. Volunteers gather together and create by hand what is then delivered to the recipients. Participants in humanitarian initiatives also assist in making trench stoves and other necessary items.
Such work shows that the contributions can vary. Some participate in collecting humanitarian aid, some come to weave nets, others help with organizing and preparing the cargo. The main thing here is the willingness not to remain on the sidelines.
