An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.
In July, prices rose more slowly than in June in almost two-thirds of the Russian regions. This was mainly due to seasonal changes in food prices and one-off factors in services. The situation in the fuel market had an uneven impact on price dynamics in the regions.
Prices for vegetables and fruits have seasonally decreased, but less than usual for this month. Prices for sugar and meat products have noticeably increased. At the same time, prices for dairy products, butter, and cheese have, on the contrary, decreased.
Uncharacteristically for the holiday season, the prices for domestic tourism services (sanatoriums, hotels, trips, and excursion tours) decreased. At the same time, due to personnel shortages, medical and household services continued to rise in price rapidly.
Amid disruptions in the supply of petroleum products, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel continued to rise rapidly. At the same time, clothing and footwear became cheaper.
The monetary policy of the Bank of Russia is aimed at achieving sustainably low inflation in all regions of the country.
