The metropolitan manufacturer has developed and launched mass production of an electrostatic table for holding wafers, which is used in vacuum systems during the manufacture of microcircuits, chips, and processors. The device eliminates mechanical damage and contamination of the wafer surface through contactless holding.
The project was implemented with the assistance of the Moscow Fund for Industrial Support and Entrepreneurship (MFPSP). This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Anatoly Garbuzov.
“The Moscow company ‘ESTO’ has mastered the production of critically important components that were previously supplied from abroad and has established serial production of devices demanded in microelectronics. A key achievement was the localization of electrostatic chucks for holding wafers — a solution unique to Russia, since until now such devices were not manufactured in our country. The products are available both as part of the company’s own equipment and for integration into technological lines operated throughout the country,” Anatoly Garbuzov said.
Compensation for the interest rate on the investment loan from MFPPiP allowed the company to carry out the reconstruction of an industrial facility. Specialized laboratories with “clean rooms” were organized on the site — this is a mandatory condition for assembling high-tech devices. In addition, the funds were directed towards the purchase of equipment for manufacturing electronic components and printed circuit boards, mechanical processing, and performing highly specialized operations, including orbital and diffusion welding.
The first deputy general director of the company “ESTO”, Danil Chelapkin, noted that the enterprise has already received new orders. The additional source of revenue allows meeting market needs while simultaneously reducing production costs, thereby increasing its competitiveness.
The company employs more than 120 designers, technologists, programmers, and electronics specialists. Compared to 2024, when the project was just starting to be implemented, the team has grown by 10 percent. Another advantage is the in-house service unit: specialists independently launch equipment, develop technologies, and maintain it.
“This is a vivid example of how targeted city assistance transforms into real technological sovereignty. The enterprise not only increased its capacity but also filled a critical niche previously occupied by imports. Mastering electrostatic tables is a challenging task: it involves a complex high-tech product that requires a strong engineering team for production. Such enterprises become growth points of the Moscow economy, which is why their support remains a strategic priority for the city,” emphasized Sergey Chumichev, General Director of MFPPiP.
Investment Lending Program MFPiP provides for an interest rate compensation of 50 percent of the key rate of the Bank of Russia. The maximum support period is five years, and the maximum amount subject to compensation is five billion rubles.
Moscow is actively developing the investment climate and industrial potential. Thanks to city initiatives, labor productivity and production efficiency are increasing. Such measures contribute to the implementation of the national project. “Effective and Competitive Economy”.
