From September 18 to 20, 2026, elections will be held in Russia for deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation, as well as regional and municipal elections. In Saint Petersburg, elections for deputies of the eighth convocation of the Legislative Assembly of Saint Petersburg will take place on these days.
Different voting formats have been prepared for voters. The most common one is to come to the polling station at your place of registration, receive a ballot, and make your choice. But if you live outside your place of registration, you can select another, more convenient polling station by using the mechanism “Mobile Voter”. This is called “voting at the place of residence.” You can submit an application to be included in the voter list at a convenient polling station from August 3 to September 14 by one of the following methods:
- on the Gosuslugi portal in the “My Elections” section;
- at any MFC branch (without prior appointment);
- in the territorial election commission (TEC).
From September 9 to 14, precinct election commissions (PECs) will also accept applications for voting at the place of residence.
Moreover, from August 3 to September 14, you can submit an application to participate through the “Gosuslugi” portal (section “My Elections”). remote electronic voting (REV), if it is provided for in the region where the voter is registered at their place of residence. In 2026, DEG will take place in 33 regions of the country. In 32 regions, voting will be held on the federal platform vybory.gov.ru, and in Moscow — on the regional platform mos.ru. Muscovites do not need to submit an application, as the capital uses its own online voting system.
In Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, remote electronic voting will not be used in 2026.
