In the new academic year, a training center for engine R6 operation classes will open at the Tutaev Motor Plant, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in the Yaroslavl region.

The training center is located in the mechanical assembly shop next to the R6 engine assembly and testing area.

“Due to the delivery of these engines to the assembly line of the Petersburg Tractor Plant, there arose a need to train the employees of service centers who will perform their warranty and post-warranty maintenance, – explained Head of the mechanical assembly workshop of PJSC TMZ Dmitry Lebedev. – They must have professional knowledge of the components and parts that make up the engine, as well as how to perform its maintenance. Workers of the factory will also undergo training at this educational center.

The training center is technically fully equipped. There is a classroom for lectures, visual training aids, and an instruction manual that outlines the assembly procedure for the R6 engine.

A space has been equipped for practical training. It contains two stands with detailed models of P6 engines, showing all components in full detail. One is in an unfolded state for installing the crankshaft with the connecting rod and piston assembly, while the second stand is for assembling the entire engine. The components are displayed on shelving – both assembled and partially detailed. Everything is labeled according to specifications. There is a tool cabinet with fixtures, two assembly tables, as well as equipped changing areas.

The training center will also be available to university students studying fields related to mechanical engineering. Thus, future students will be able to study not only the theoretical part but also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the components of the R6 engine in practice.
