Beijing, August 14 /Xinhua/ — At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the President of the Republic of Ecuador, Daniel Roy-Gilchrist Noboa, will pay a state visit to China from August 16 to 23. This was announced on Friday by an official spokesman of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Noting that Ecuador is an important Latin American country and that China and Ecuador are comprehensive strategic partners, the official representative of the Chinese foreign ministry stated that in recent years, under the strategic leadership of the heads of both states, the relations between China and Ecuador have maintained a favorable development dynamic.

The upcoming visit will be President Daniel Noboa’s first state visit to China, the official representative noted, adding that Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold talks with him, while Premier of the State Council Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji will hold separate meetings with him.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of comprehensive strategic partnership relations between China and Ecuador.
