The government commission continues to coordinate the efforts to eliminate the consequences of the oil spill caused by the tanker collisions in the Kerch Strait. The meeting of the government commission was chaired by the Minister of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, Alexander Kurenkov.
The replenishment of beach areas affected by the emergency has been completed. Permits from Rospotrebnadzor have already been obtained for 109 beaches in Anapa. Another 3 are undergoing examination.
Monitoring is being conducted of the Black Sea waters, as well as the coastline in the territory of Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Crimea. No cases of oil product spills have been recorded along the coastline.
The consolidated group of forces and means involved in the elimination of the consequences of the emergency consists of 758 people and 186 units of equipment.
