Beijing, August 11 /Xinhua/ — In the border city of Suifenhe /Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China/, intensive construction of the second phase of the intelligent industrial park is underway, aimed at promoting the development of China-Russia cross-border e-commerce. The completion of its construction is scheduled for December 2026, the Suifenhe city government reported on its website.
Currently, the main volume of construction for the second phase of the project has already been completed, with work underway on laying the enclosing walls. Further work will involve the creation of a thermal insulation system, as well as fireproofing and anticorrosion protection of the structures.
The aforementioned industrial park will focus on the deep integration of Chinese-Russian cross-border e-commerce and logistics sectors and will strive to create a modern intelligent logistics center, combining smart warehousing, efficient sorting, cross-border distribution, big data processing applications, and supply chain services. It aims to unlock the potential of trade and economic cooperation between China and Russia.
The first phase of this park, which cost 30 million yuan /approximately 4.4 million USD/, was officially put into operation in December 2025. Two sets of automated sorting equipment are planned to be installed on the park premises. In particular, the first set was launched in January of this year, and the second is in the final adjustment stage.
The second phase of the project will include the construction of digital cloud warehouses, incubator platforms for streaming in the field of e-commerce, and an auxiliary office complex. It will expand the diverse functions of the industrial park, such as air temperature-controlled storage, supply chain services, and e-commerce incubator platforms, create a full-fledged industrial ecosystem combining intelligent sorting, cloud warehouses, live broadcast incubators, and cross-border distribution, as well as improve the cross-border e-commerce ecosystem in Suifenhe.
After the complete construction of the aforementioned park, its daily capacity for processing e-commerce orders will reach 300,000, enabling even more leading enterprises in cross-border e-commerce and international logistics to establish their business operations in Suifenhe. -0-
