Harbin, August 11 /Xinhua/ — Amid the rapid growth of local intelligent robotics, the city of Harbin, the administrative center of Heilongjiang Province /Northeast China/, aims to have 150 robotics enterprises by the end of 2030 and achieve industry operational revenues of 10 billion yuan /approximately 1.47 billion USD/.

According to the plan, during the 15th five-year period (2026-2030), the focus of the intelligent robotics industry in Harbin will be on developing new products in areas such as manufacturing, agriculture, medicine, healthcare, and household services. Alongside this, assistance will be provided to accelerate the concentration of key components, including finished products, main components, control systems, and sensors.

Building on Harbin’s strong research potential, many local robotics companies are rapidly transitioning from laboratory discoveries to industrial applications, yielding tangible results.

The company “Hanwei,” with 3 automated production lines and an annual production capacity of 40,000 sets of intelligent equipment, received orders this year to supply 4,000 of its key products. The company “Huagong Zhiyun” delivered intelligent laser robot lawn mowers to Australia.

The development of this sector is also driven by comprehensive political support. Heilongjiang Province has implemented a number of special measures: subsidies for loan interest rates and compensation for electricity costs have been provided, which significantly reduce the expenses of enterprises for R&D and industrial production development. -0-
