The government commission continues to coordinate efforts to eliminate the consequences of the oil product spill caused by the tanker crash in the Kerch Strait.

Since the beginning of the work, more than 3,600 km of coastline have been cleaned, including repeated cleanings. Over 185,300 tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected.

In the coastal zone, a combined divers’ group carried out cleaning of the bottom of the Black Sea. A total of 22,750 dives were made, and 22,450 bags of oil-containing waste were collected.

Monitoring of the Black Sea water area, as well as the coast of Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Crimea, continues. No cases of oil product spills have been recorded during this period.

The replenishment of beach areas affected by the emergency has been completed. Rospotrebnadzor permits have already been obtained for 105 beaches in Anapa, and another 4 are undergoing examination.

The consolidated group of forces and resources involved in the elimination of the emergency consequences amounts to 759 people and 187 units of equipment.
