International tournaments, meetings with football stars, a mass run, a unique swim, and other interesting events are included in the program of the Sports Games of the Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of Russia.

Once again, the interactive military-sports town on the ‘Street of the Far East’ unfolds the ‘Warrior’ center established by order of the President of Russia. With every strong person, our country becomes stronger,” said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.
For the tenth time, the sporting pace of the forum will be set by a five-kilometer run around Russky Island. On September 2 at 06:00, the starting area will open near the oceanarium for VEF participants and residents of Primorsky Krai. Registration for participation can be done in the personal account. The general partner of the run is the Uralsib Bank. The insurance partner is SberInsurance.
“The sports program of the Eastern Economic Forum is developing as a significant platform for promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening sports diplomacy. The program is being shaped to demonstrate the potential of sports as a factor in the development of the Far East, improving quality of life, and enhancing international cooperation,” noted Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and conduct of the Eastern Economic Forum.
For the first time at the Eastern Economic Forum, Vladivostok residents will have the opportunity to meet football stars. On August 28, legends of Moscow “Spartak” Yegor Titov, Dmitry Alenichev, and Andrey Tikhonov will conduct master classes for young athletes and autograph sessions, and afterwards will play a friendly match against the “Dynamo-Vladivostok” team.
With the support of the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation, the Eastern Economic Forum has become a venue for the development of international formats. As a city festival, an international coastal rowing tournament will be held, making its debut at the 2028 Olympics. One of the most spectacular events at the “Far East Street” exhibition will once again be the international mas-wrestling cup. Another novelty will be the longest one-day mass ultramarathon swim in Russia and Asia. Participants from Russia and China will cover 68 km along the Amur River.
One of the largest events will be the anniversary Parade of Sails at the EEF. More than a thousand Russian and foreign yachtsmen and sailors will gather in the waters of the Amur Bay. Guests will see the departures of the training sailing ships “Nadezhda” and “Pallada”, the international Far East Cup regatta, youth competitions, and keelboat races. The sports program of the EEF was preceded by the Radio Monte Carlo regatta, which took place on August 1 in Moscow. It combined an impressive sports component with a discussion about the future of technology and business, a musical evening, and an open-air cinema screening.
In Vladivostok, forum participants will be able to compete for the Roscongress Cup in chess and take part in a large-scale program that will combine competitions, an exhibition, lectures, and a simultaneous blindfold game session with one of Russia’s leading grandmasters. Business representatives and government officials will be united by a table tennis tournament called the “Evening League.”
