The total volume of transactions with precious metals in the main trading mode on the Moscow Exchange in July 2026 increased 2.3 times compared to the same period last year, amounting to 461.9 billion rubles.

The gold market remains the key driver. The volume of transactions with this metal increased 2.3 times, reaching 449.0 billion rubles. The volume of operations with gold amounted to 44.3 tons, of which 28.6 tons were swap deals and 15.7 tons were spot operations.

The trading volume of silver amounted to 10.9 billion rubles (75.9 tons), palladium – 1.2 billion rubles (0.4 tons), platinum – 706 million rubles (0.2 tons).

In physical terms compared to July 2025, the volume of gold trading increased by 1.9 times, silver by 12.7 times, palladium by 3.3 times, and platinum by 2.0 times. In monetary terms, the volume of gold trading increased by 2.3 times, silver by 14.0 times, palladium by 3.4 times, and platinum by 2.3 times.

The total number of transactions in the precious metals market on the Moscow Exchange in July 2026 increased by 87% year-on-year, reaching 286.6 thousand.

The share of private investors in gold trading in July 2026 was 2.7%, silver – 27.1%, palladium – 11.8%, platinum – 25.7%.

Trading and settlements are conducted in rubles with the involvement of a central counterparty, performed by the National Clearing Center, allowing participants to benefit from all the advantages of a modern risk management system and reliable settlements. Delivery of precious metals is carried out in an unallocated form to the metal accounts of clearing participants.
