The Prime Minister inspected the educational institution and familiarized himself with the operation of the summer school day camp “Pythagoras”.

Secondary General Education School No. 22 named after D.B. Ondar, with a capacity of 825 places, opened its doors a year ago thanks to the national project “Education.” The institution is named after the Minister of Education of the Tuvan ASSR, Dozhuldey Burzuneevich Ondar, who made a significant contribution to the development of education in Tuva. During his tenure as minister, new educational institutions were built throughout the republic, and the living conditions in boarding schools for the children of shepherds and orphans were improved.

The educational program of the new school places special emphasis on engineering, technical, and natural sciences directions. A practice-oriented approach is used – learning through projects and collaboration with specialized enterprises. The school is equipped with computer classrooms, robotics laboratories, and 3D modeling facilities.

The school has a resource center for working with gifted children. In the past academic year, its students participated in contests, olympiads, and became prize-winners in physics.

From the transcript:

M. Mishustin: I am well acquainted with the development program for your schools and kindergartens. Since 2020, through joint efforts, 31 kindergartens have been built and 53 schools have been renovated. And 12 completely new schools have been built. Another three schools should be commissioned by the end of the year. Of course, this program needs to be supported in every way. We will look at the opportunities of the federal budget.

Thank you very much for such an attitude towards social facilities.

S. Kravtsov: Dear Mikhail Vladimirovich!

As for In preparation for the start of the school year, everything is proceeding according to plan, everything is normal. 38 thousand schools will open, and 1.5 million first graders will start school this year. Also, 30 thousand kindergartens will open, and 500 thousand children will attend kindergarten for the first time. Together with the United Russia party, we are implementing a program for the construction and major renovation of schools and kindergartens.

Of course, the issue of nutrition is very important. Today you were in the cafeteria of a wonderful new school.

This year we are equipping the physics, music, and fine arts classrooms. And next year, as per your instructions, the mathematics, biology, and chemistry classrooms.

Over two years, the number of students choosing physics in the Unified State Exam has increased by one third, and those choosing mathematics by one quarter. And most importantly, there is a growth in the number of high scorers. These are the students who will become engineers and will develop our country for technological leadership.

We will continue this work through unified programs in physics, mathematics, high-quality unified state textbooks, and teacher training.

M. Mishustin: Friends, since 2020 we have built 1.7 thousand new schools. That’s wonderful! That’s a lot. And about 6.5 thousand schools have been completely renovated. The United Russia party is actively helping with this. But we still have a lot to do.

It is gratifying that, as a result of popularization efforts, including those initiated by the President, programs related to technical specialties, mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology are increasingly leading young people to choose more complex specialized subjects.

Today I congratulated the physics teacher on the fact that here in Tuva, for the first time, there was a perfect scorer in physics. And there are many such students – with very high scores. In the last two years, 33% more students have chosen physics as their main subject. And 25% more have chosen profile mathematics. This is the result of the return of popularity of scientific specialties and difficult subjects.

I hope that our Ministry of Education, together with teachers and the entire teaching community, will do everything possible so that the children receive the most modern education, become patriots of their country, study well, and continue to choose their profession, wherever they go—be it vocational training, colleges, institutes, or higher education institutions.

Thank you.
