Tashkent, July 31 /Xinhua/ — Recently, a series of cultural exchange events took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, during which the rich natural, cultural, and tourist potential of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (Northern China) was presented.
Among the participants in the events are representatives of local authorities, cultural and educational circles, as well as numerous city residents.
A photo exhibition dedicated to environmental achievements, tourism, and archaeological discoveries in Inner Mongolia was set up in the lobby. In the workshop area, visitors became acquainted with the region’s traditional crafts — leatherworking, embroidery, jewelry making, and paper cutting.
A highlight of the program was a concert featuring artists from the Inner Mongolia Arts Theater. The program included national dances, khoomei throat singing, as well as a joint performance of an Uzbek folk song by Chinese and Uzbek artists.
The Chinese delegation also organized a presentation of intangible cultural heritage elements at the Confucius Institute and held a meeting with the management of the International Research Institute “Silk Road” to discuss issues of preserving historical heritage.
These events contributed to strengthening mutual understanding and friendly ties, as well as giving new impetus to deepening interregional humanitarian cooperation and interregional relations between the two countries. –0–
