More than 1 billion rubles will be additionally allocated from the Government reserve fund to Dagestan and Chechnya to cover expenses related to providing support measures to citizens affected by the flood. The orders for this have been signed.

This concerns the expenses of the regions on one-time material assistance payments, as well as financial aid to citizens who have completely or partially lost essential property.

In March-April 2026, heavy rains occurred in certain areas of Dagestan and Chechnya. The bad weather caused large-scale floods, resulting in damage to residential houses, household plots, significant educational and healthcare facilities, as well as communal and engineering infrastructure. By the President’s order, a government commission was established to address the consequences of the natural disaster.

To date, the total amount of funds allocated for the restoration activities of the two regions has exceeded 12 billion rubles.

The issue of allocating additional funding was considered at at the Government meeting on July 30.
