Beijing, July 31 /Xinhua/ — China has published the “Plan for Green and Low-Carbon Development of the Industrial Sector,” developed for the period of the country’s 15th Five-Year Plan /2026-2030/. The goal of this plan is to achieve a peak in carbon dioxide emissions in the industrial sector by 2030.
The recently published plan by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China aims to significantly increase the share of green energy usage in industry, as well as to further strengthen the competitiveness of green and low-carbon sectors.
The plan lists key tasks, including the implementation of actions to reach the peak of carbon emissions in industry, the expansion of supplies of environmentally friendly equipment and products, the enhancement of innovation potential in green and low-carbon technologies, and the improvement of industrial resource recycling systems.
