As a result of last night’s attacks, residential areas in Lviv, Kyiv, the suburbs of Kryvyi Rih, as well as other parts of Ukraine, were affected, reports the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Civilians, including children, were killed and injured. UNICEF specifies that three children died in the village of Radushnoye, a suburb of Kryvyi Rih.
It is also reported that at least seven children were injured in Lviv, as well as in the Kherson and Kyiv regions. Residential houses and preschool institutions were damaged.
Humanitarian organization staff, together with rescue services, are providing emergency assistance to the victims.
“The civilian population and civilian objects are protected under international humanitarian law,” the UKRV reminded.
