Taiyuan, July 30 /Xinhua/ — China on Thursday launched new satellites for testing communication technologies.
The launch was conducted at 9:00 AM /Beijing time/ from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome /Shanxi Province, Northern China/ using a modified Long March-6 carrier rocket. The satellites successfully reached their designated orbits.
They will be mainly used in areas such as satellite communications, television and radio broadcasting, and data transmission, as well as for conducting relevant technological tests and inspections.
This is the 660th flight of a Long March series launch vehicle. -0-
