Young employees of PJSC “KAMAZ” took part in the extreme race “Race of Heroes,” which was held on July 25 in Mendeleevsk.

The head of the Mendeleevsky district, Robert Iskandarov, noted that the festival has been held in Mendeleevsk for five years and has become the city’s calling card. This year, 4,300 people representing more than 300 teams from Russia and other countries participated in the anniversary race “Hero Race.” In total, about 15,000 people attended the event. An extensive entertainment program was organized for the guests. In the fan zone, there was an opportunity to sit in the cabins of trucks from the legendary “KAMAZ-master” team, on which KAMAZ athletes won the main prizes of international rallies.

This year, the auto giant was represented by several teams at the competition: the team of PJSC KAMAZ, teams from the Block of the Deputy General Director for Personnel Management, Organizational Development and Corporate Governance, and the Legal Support Center, the Procurement Block, JSC KAMA DIESEL, KAMAZ-master, and JSC KAMAZ Foreign Trade Company. Before the start, the KAMAZ participants were given a send-off by Zhanna Khaliullina, Deputy General Director of the company for Personnel Management, Organizational Development and Corporate Governance.

The course stretched for 12 kilometers, featuring 43 obstacles. The challenge was to overcome a test track where each obstacle demanded both endurance and the ability to act together. Narrow passages, high walls, water sections, and other barriers—all designed to assess physical fitness, team spirit, and the ability to support each other during intense moments.

“This is our first experience in such competitions. At first, it was a bit scary because we didn’t know what to expect. But when we reached the start, all fears disappeared, and we ran in one breath.”, – they commented members of the team of the Deputy General Director for Human Resources Management, Organizational Development and Corporate Governance Block and the CPC, who came to the “Race of Heroes” for the first time.

“For the company team, participating in competitions is a way to strengthen team spirit, learn to trust each other not only in work matters but also where personal qualities come to the forefront: resilience, responsiveness, and the ability to lend a shoulder. Such events help energize and see colleagues in a new light, because it is in extreme conditions that true character is revealed.”, – emphasized representatives of the Trade Union organization of KAMAZ, noting that the colleagues performed admirably on the track.
