Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev visited the Bryansk region on a working trip. The main topics were environmental well-being, as well as the development of the agro-industrial complex and rural areas.
Dmitry Patrushev and the acting regional governor Yegor Kovalchuk discussed the progress of seasonal fieldwork. To date, the harvesting pace in the region and the yield indicators for several crops exceed last year’s level. Currently, grain has already been harvested from an area of about 5 thousand hectares, with more than 27 thousand tons of grain threshed.
In the Bryansk region, active work is underway to improve living conditions in rural areas. Under the relevant state program, housing is being built, social facilities, roads, and utility infrastructure are being modernized, transport accessibility of rural settlements is being increased, and public spaces are being beautified.
In the village of Zhurinichi, Dmitry Patrushev participated in the solemn ceremony of laying flowers at the stele “Village of Partisan Glory.” The memorial complex was erected in memory of the partisans of the Bryansk district detachment who died in 1941–1943. Then, together with the acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk, he inspected the newly built physical culture and wellness complex in the village. A ski roller track, a sports hall, and outdoor sports grounds with exercise equipment for various sports are already ready here. Construction of a swimming pool is underway, and there are plans to open a swimming department with the involvement of coaches and instructors. The deputy prime minister also assessed the results of the landscaping of the residential complex area for greenhouses workers. Sixty-six residential houses have been built, 30 of which are already occupied. The residential neighborhood’s water supply system is operational, and intra-quarter roads have been laid. All houses have a finished interior and household appliances.
In addition, Dmitry Patrushev and Yegor Kovalchuk inspected the Zhurinichi greenhouse complex. Over the first six months of this year, the enterprise produced more than 3,000 tons of cucumbers and over 6,000 tons of tomatoes.
During the working visit, the Deputy Prime Minister also visited a branch of the Malopulpinskaya Secondary General Education School. The educational institution is equipped with modern classrooms featuring interactive whiteboards and projectors, has equipment for laboratory work and practical lessons, and the school museum is included in the All-Russian Register of Museums of General Education Organizations.
