Today is celebrated the Day of Moscow’s Air Defenders — a commemorative date that has once again become relevant in our time. Sergey Sobyanin spoke about this in his blog.
“For more than four years, the Kyiv regime has been testing the resilience of the defenders of our sky. And all these years, the main target of the enemy has been the Moscow region. After all, we are the largest industrial center and transportation hub of the country. And, even more importantly, we are the capital and heart of Russia. Of course, in the fight against a strong and cunning enemy, losses are inevitable. But still, despite all efforts, he has not been and will not be able to impose his rules of the game on us. And for this, today I say thank you to everyone who day and night, on weekdays and holidays, stands guard over our sky,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow.
Sergey Sobyanin thanked everyone whose profession is connected with the protection of the sky. These are the workers of enterprises and design bureaus who managed to increase the production of traditional, time-tested air defense systems and quickly established the production of innovative products to counter new threats. These are the builders and workers of city services who construct protective structures, towers, and positions for air defense troops in Moscow and other regions of the country. These are programmers and technical specialists who successfully solve the complex task of automated detection and suppression of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as Rosgvardia fighters, BARS units, and departmental security personnel who have taken on the protection of critically important economic facilities and essential services for the population.
“And of course, a huge thank you to the military pilots and air defense fighters, who bear the main burden of countering enemy attacks. Thank you to all the defenders of the sky!” emphasized Sergey Sobyanin.
