On August 5 at 11:00, an online consultation will be held for two bachelor’s programs of the GUU Department of Statistics and the interdisciplinary master’s program of the Institute of Economics and Finance.

What will happen at the consultation

The meeting will be held by the Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance Galina Sorokina, the head of the Department of Statistics Nikolay Kuznetsov, and the deputy head of the Department of Statistics Tatyana Pershina.

Experts will talk about the program content, practical experience, career opportunities, features of admission in 2026, and will answer all listeners’ questions.

Which programs will be introduced

“Business Analytics and Forecasting”

Bachelor’s degree program in Economics, combining economics, business analytics, econometrics, forecasting, artificial intelligence, and modern digital technologies.

Students work with real data, mastering AI tools and analytical platforms used by leading companies for management decision-making.

Examples of vacancies for graduates: business analysts, financial, product and BI analysts, risk managers, specialists in strategic planning and economic forecasting.

“Statistics and Data Management”

Bachelor’s degree program in “Statistics,” which trains specialists for the new digital economy.

Here, statistics, Data Science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, programming, and big data technologies are studied.

Students learn to create analysis and forecasting models, apply AI to process information, and transform data into effective management decisions.

Graduates can work as statisticians, data analysts, data management specialists, BI analysts, risk analysts, and credit scoring specialists.

“Behavioral Economics and Designing the Future”

A master’s program in “Economics” that combines economics, psychology, neuroeconomics, data analysis, and foresight.

Here they train specialists capable of designing solutions for business and public administration.

Graduates can work as behavioral research specialists, consumer behavior researchers, foresight and scenario planning experts, specialists in economic and social experiments, behavioral design, and the application of behavioral methods in business and public administration.
