Specialists urban utilities complex hot water supply was restored in more than 51 thousand buildings after hydraulic tests. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Large-scale work to prepare for the new heating season is entering the final stage. We continue to carry out hydraulic tests, during which, according to the previously approved schedule, we turn off the hot water supply. Hot water supply has already been restored after maintenance in more than 51 thousand buildings, including 24.3 thousand residential houses,” noted Petr Biryukov.
The organization of heat network tests is one of the key directions in preparation for the heating season. The work is divided into 600 ten-day stages and will be fully completed by the end of August. More than three thousand specialists are involved in it.
Individual sections of pipelines are taken out of service one at a time and pressured to assess the condition of the communications. This allows specialists of PJSC “Moscow United Energy Company” to identify potentially unreliable sections in advance and promptly repair them to ensure uninterrupted heat supply to consumers during the season.
More than 19 thousand kilometers of heating networks will be inspected in total. By the beginning of the new heating season in Moscow, over 74 thousand buildings will be prepared, including more than 34 thousand residential buildings.
