In mid-July, the XII International Festival of Cultural Tourism “Eternal Manas” was held in the Kyzylsu-Kyrgyz Autonomous Prefecture of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The focus of the festival was the “Manas” epic. Thanks to a vocal performance competition among young people, thematic exhibitions dedicated to intangible cultural heritage, and a forum on cultural continuity, the traditions of passing on this heritage were strengthened. The event also included creative performances by artists from Jiangsu and Jiangxi provinces as part of the Xinjiang assistance program, mass sports and cultural competitions, fully demonstrating the unique charm of the intangible cultural heritage of border regions.
