Tbilisi, July 17 /Xinhua/ — Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday signed a joint statement following talks in Tbilisi, the Georgian government administration reported.

Representatives of the relevant agencies of the two countries also exchanged memoranda of understanding in the fields of finance, economy, transportation, healthcare, education, and culture.

During the negotiations, I. Kobakhidze and S. Berdymukhamedov discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the development of trade and economic ties, and fuller utilization of the existing potential for interaction.
