Moscow, July 16 /Xinhua/ — The Russian government has approved an updated version of the Strategy for Digital Transformation in Public Administration until 2030. Its main directions are the automation of administrative processes and the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI), the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported on Wednesday.

The goal of the strategy, in particular, is the widespread use by employees of Russian government bodies of communication services of the automated workplace and the connection of all self-government bodies, state and municipal institutions to a single electronic document management system. In addition, the strategy provides for the complete transition of government employees to Russian communication services by 2030.

According to the press service, thanks to the introduction of digital technologies in Russia, the average document approval time has been reduced threefold. In March 2026, a pilot project for the implementation of AI services in the government apparatus was launched. Based on its results, a decision was made to use AI services in all structural divisions of the government and to integrate AI technologies into the electronic document management system. –0–
