The government has allocated additional funds for the elimination of the consequences of the flood in Dagestan and Chechnya.

More than 4.4 billion rubles will be additionally allocated to Dagestan and Chechnya to provide social support measures for citizens whose homes were lost or damaged as a result of the flooding in spring 2026. Orders to this effect have been signed.

The interbudgetary transfer for the Republic of Dagestan will amount to over 3.8 billion rubles. In addition, nearly 557 million rubles will be transferred from the Government’s reserve fund to the Chechen Republic.

In Dagestan, federal funding will enable payments for major repairs of damaged housing, as well as for the purchase or construction of new apartments and houses. In Chechnya, the funds will be used for payments necessary for carrying out major repairs of buildings affected by the disaster.

“It is important that people bring their homes and property back in order as soon as possible and return to a normal, familiar life,” noted Mikhail Mishustin, commenting on the adopted decision at at the Government meeting on July 9.

By two more decrees, the Government has allocated a total of about 275.3 million rubles for the restoration of eight cultural centers damaged by flooding in two regions. In Chechnya, six facilities will be repaired with federal funds – in Gudermes, the village of Braguny in Gudermes municipal district, as well as in the villages of Nozhay-Yurt, Dengi-Yurt, Zandak, and Gendergen in Nozhay-Yurt municipal district. In Dagestan, the allocated funds will be used to repair two cultural centers – in the village of Adilotar in Khasavyurt district and in the village of Tagirkent-Kazmalyar in Magaramkent district.

In March-April 2026, heavy rains occurred in certain areas of Dagestan and Chechnya. The bad weather led to widespread flooding, damaging residential buildings, household plots, important educational and healthcare facilities, as well as communal and engineering infrastructure. By the President’s directive, a government commission was established to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster.

To date, the total amount of funds allocated for recovery measures in the two regions has exceeded 12 billion rubles.
