Tehran, July 13 /Xinhua/ — The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday stated that it struck US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait in response to US attacks against Iran’s coastal provinces earlier that day.
In statements published on the official Sepah News information portal, the IRGC reported that US armed forces carried out airstrikes on several coastal military bases on Sunday evening after the IRGC intercepted two “rule-violating” /passage-violating/ vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
In the first stage of the retaliatory measures, IRGC forces launched rocket and drone strikes on several large missile depots and fuel tanks at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan.
In the second phase, the helicopter repair and maintenance centers, the hangar for P-8 patrol planes, as well as the drone control center at the U.S. base Sheikh Isa in Bahrain were hit.
At the third stage, the IRGC destroyed a fuel depot, a Patriot surface-to-air missile system, and an FPS radar installation at US bases in Kuwait, the report says.
