As learned by the correspondent from the Chinese Museum of Science and Technology, on July 1, a nationwide campaign “Dreams of Science in the Light of Cinema” – 2026 began, showcasing popular science and historical-revolutionary films and video materials. For five months, free film screenings and immersive events will be held across the country.
As part of the campaign, 106 scientific and historical-revolutionary films and video materials have been provided free of charge to popular science centers across the country, including domestic popular science films, classic historical-revolutionary movies, high-quality popular science videos, and various other materials. The receiving centers can organize themed events such as science film clubs for parents and children and lectures during film screenings, naturally combining film viewing with the popularization of science.
The event, organized by the China Science and Technology Museum in cooperation with the Chinese Society of Natural History Museums, will last until the end of November and is expected to cover hundreds of science popularization centers across the country.
