China has sent 50,000 units of material resources to Zhejiang and Fujian provinces to respond to Typhoon “Bavi”

Beijing, July 10 /Xinhua/ — China has sent 50,000 units of material resources to Zhejiang and Fujian provinces in eastern China to support local authorities’ efforts to respond to Typhoon Bavi, the Ministry of Emergency Management of the PRC said on Thursday.

The specified batch of material resources, which includes folding beds, summer blankets, and family sets of essential items, was jointly allocated by the Office of the State Committee for Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, and Relief, the Ministry of Emergency Management, and the State Administration of Food and Strategic Reserves of the PRC.

These emergency relief items are intended to support the efforts of regional governments to ensure the safe evacuation, relocation, and accommodation of residents affected by the disaster, as well as to provide disaster aid aimed at implementing measures to prevent and mitigate consequences in connection with the approach of Typhoon Bavi, the ninth of this year.
