Ankara, July 8 /Xinhua/ — The United States may strike Iran “hard” again on Wednesday evening. This was stated by US President Donald Trump on the same day in the Turkish capital on the sidelines of the NATO summit.
D. Trump stated that Tehran is “behaving very badly” in terms of the recently signed memorandum of understanding. In this regard, he mentioned recent missile-drone attacks and “assaults” on American vessels.
According to him, the United States may resume a naval blockade of Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and possibly establish control over the Iranian island of Khark.
The American president added that during the recent conflict in the Middle East, the United States lost 200 people.
At the same time, D. Trump allowed that the American negotiating team may continue its efforts.
These statements were made against the backdrop of another escalation and a new exchange of strikes between the United States and Iran since Tuesday evening.
