Baku, July 8 /Xinhua/ — The Chinese Embassy in Azerbaijan held an informational and educational event on Monday at the headquarters of the Yeni Azerbaijan party in Baku, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Among the participants were the deputy chairman and head of the Central apparatus of the Yeni Azerbaijan party, Tahir Budagov, the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, and the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Urkhan Alekperov.
T. Budagov noted in his speech that under the leadership of the CPC, China has undergone a grand path of development and today is one of the leading countries in the world. According to him, China’s achievements in development have shown how correct the path chosen by the CPC was. The path of socialism with Chinese characteristics has opened broad opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations between China and various countries, and today Azerbaijan and China are jointly working on many projects, including the Middle Corridor.
As T. Budagov emphasized, the President of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the “New Azerbaijan” party Ilham Aliyev attaches great importance to the development of Azerbaijani-Chinese relations, including interparty ties. “In recent years, the relations between the ‘New Azerbaijan’ party and the CCP have reached a qualitatively new level of development. Since the signing of the cooperation memorandum in November 2024, there has been an intensive exchange of delegations between our parties,” he noted.
According to the Azerbaijani politician, the two parties make a significant contribution to the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, strengthen interaction between the peoples of the two countries, and promote the deepening of ties in all areas of social, political, and economic life.
Lu Mei stated that the CPC, leading the entire Chinese people, creates two miracles — the miracle of rapid economic growth and the miracle of long-term social stability, promotes modernization in the Chinese style, creates a new form of human civilization, opens new paths to modernization for developing countries, facilitates the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, brings Chinese ideas, Chinese solutions, and Chinese strength to overcoming humanity’s most important problems. The ambassador assured that the CPC is ready to deepen exchanges of experience in party building and state governance with political parties of all countries around the world.
Lu Mei emphasized that China and Azerbaijan are good friends and reliable partners. She noted that the CPC and the New Azerbaijan Party have maintained close institutional contacts for a long time, actively implementing important agreements reached by the heads of the two states, deepening the exchange of experience in state governance, promoting cooperation among party cadres, mass media, and analytical centers of the two countries, thus making an important contribution to the development of China-Azerbaijan relations.
As U. Alekperov pointed out, the CPC has transformed a poor and backward agricultural country into a powerful state that holds leading positions in the world in a number of areas. The rapid growth of gross domestic product per capita, the extensive network of high-speed railways, and other achievements fully demonstrate the effectiveness of state governance under the leadership of the CPC.
U. Alekperov also noted the importance of the memorandum of understanding and cooperation signed in May of this year between the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Party School of the CPC Central Committee /State Administrative Academy of China/ for the study and adoption by Azerbaijan of the CPC’s experience in the field of public administration.
