Moscow, July 8 /Xinhua/ — The “Krasnodarskaya” compressor station, part of the “Blue Stream” gas pipeline infrastructure for export to Turkey, was attacked by a drone on Tuesday. Gazprom reported this on Wednesday via the “Max” messenger.

“On July 7 at 19:51, the compressor station ‘Krasnodarskaya’, involved in the supply chain of Russian gas through the ‘Blue Stream’ pipeline, was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles,” the report says.

As the company noted, the attack was aimed at disrupting the uninterrupted supplies of Russian gas to Turkey, but promptly taken measures allowed to avoid disruption of supplies. Repairs of the damages sustained are currently underway, the statement adds.

According to the RIA Novosti agency, citing a source in the Turkish government, Ankara will coordinate actions with Moscow if necessary following reports of the attack. –0–
