Beijing, July 7 /Xinhua/ — The Chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Huning, on Tuesday called on political advisors to properly perform the functions and unleash the potential of the CPPCC as a special advisory body.
Wan Huning, who is also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, made the corresponding appeal while presiding over the meeting of the chairman and vice-chairmen of the NPCSC.
As Van Hoonin noted, it is necessary to effectively perform the functions of making proposals and providing assistance in state governance, to serve the cause of modernization in the Chinese style through high-quality consultations and policy discussions, and to contribute to the formation of a broad consensus for building a strong nation and national rejuvenation.

Wan Hunin also called on members of the CPPCC to responsibly fulfill their duties, focusing on the core tasks of the party and the state, implementing consultative democracy at all stages of political consultations, democratic supervision, participation in political life, and discussion of political issues.
