“RN-Vankor” (part of the oil and gas extraction division of NK “Rosneft”) plans to deliver about 900 thousand tons of materials and equipment via the Yenisei River and the Northern Sea Route to the bases and fields in the north of Krasnoyarsk Krai during the ongoing summer navigation period. Taking into account the deliveries made in winter, the total cargo volume for the year will amount to nearly 2 million tons.
Approximately 270 fleet units are engaged for deliveries from the ports of Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, and Krasnoyarsk warehouses. Cargo reception in Taimyr is carried out through a large-scale logistics infrastructure established by oil workers – this includes 13 berths at five production bases in the Yenisei Bay, on the Bolshaya Kheta river, as well as at the port of Dudinka.
The cargo assortment includes metal structures, pipe and cable products, technological equipment, special machinery, residential and utility buildings, and fuel. Their delivery will provide the material and technical resources for Rosneft’s project implementation in the region and the operation of existing fields.
Earlier, following the winter delivery, more than 1 million tons of cargo were delivered. Along the Northern Sea Route, 22 cargo voyages with icebreaker escort were completed. Cargo was distributed to oil fields via winter roads spanning 2.7 thousand km. Over 1,300 vehicles were involved, making more than 43 thousand trips.
