Beijing, July 6 /Xinhua/ — A ministers-level seminar on development cooperation among Global South countries was recently held in Beijing, attended by about 30 senior officials and political analysts from 12 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
During the seminar, Chinese experts and scholars in the relevant fields provided detailed explanations of China’s development concept and shared ideas regarding the development needs of Global South countries in areas such as trade and economic cooperation, industrialization, green development, digital transformation, and humanitarian exchanges.
Participants from Brazil, Egypt, Malaysia, South Africa, and other countries had an in-depth exchange of views with Chinese experts on China’s development experience and deepening practical cooperation.
Participants of the seminar stated that strengthening cooperation in development between Global South countries is an inevitable trend and meets the real needs of these countries in advancing the modernization process, noting that China’s experience in digital economy, green development, and modernization serves as an important guide for other Global South countries in seeking development paths suited to their national conditions.
The eight-day seminar was organized by the Research Center for Development under the State Council of the PRC and conducted by the Center for International Development Knowledge. -0-
