Pyongyang, July 5 /Xinhua/ — General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs of the DPRK Kim Jong Un on Friday observed the tests of combat systems of the new destroyer “Kang Gon.” This was reported on Sunday by the official news agency KCNA.
On Friday, the destroyer conducted “test launches of strategic cruise missiles and tests of major combat systems, such as deck artillery installations, automatic guns, and electronic warfare equipment,” the statement said.
As reported by CTAC, Kim Jong Un stated that the DPRK needs to “further accelerate the implementation of projects to maintain and steadily strengthen a reliable deterrent and combat capability.”
