Bishkek, July 1 /Xinhua/ — In the first quarter of the current year, the flow of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Kyrgyzstan increased by 34 percent compared to the same period in 2025 and amounted to 386.7 million US dollars. This was reported on Wednesday by the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to reports, the largest volume of FDI into the country was in the financial intermediation and insurance sector, amounting to $93.6 million. This is followed by the manufacturing sector, which attracted about $90.1 million.
The greatest growth in FDI was observed in the professional, scientific, and technical activities sector. In January-March 2026, the volume of FDI attracted to this sector reached $49.5 million, increasing 26 times compared to the same period in 2025. –0–
