Associate Professor of the Department of Architectural and Structural Engineering, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at SPbGASUAlexandra Glukhovaparticipated in two scientific events: a conference dedicated to science popularization, held in Moscow at MIREA – Russian Technological University, and the IV All-Russian Acoustic Conference and the session of the Russian Acoustic Society, which took place June 22–26 in Nizhny Novgorod.
At the acoustics conference, Alexandra Glukhova gave a presentation titled “The Evolution of the Architecture of Music and Entertainment Venues,” discussing the interrelation between the architecture of concert halls and theaters and the acoustic characteristics of the music performed in them. She also introduced the concept of a hybrid architecture for concert halls optimally suited to the spectrum of the most frequently performed academic music works. Alexandra Glukhova concluded the architectural and building acoustics section with her presentation and opened the musical acoustics section.
This year, the IV All-Russian Acoustic Conference was combined with the XXXVIII session of the Russian Scientific and Technical Acoustic Society. The conference included more than 15 sections, such as “Physical Acoustics,” “Acoustic Metamaterials,” “Geoacoustics,” “Medical Acoustics,” “Noise and Vibrations,” and others.
