The delegation of the State University of Management, led by the university rector Vladimir Stroev, took part in the development of the Concept of Financial Security of the Russian Federation.
From June 23 to 26, an expert session was held in the Moscow region, bringing together about 60 specialists in the field of financial security, including representatives of leading universities of the International Network Institute in the field of AML/CFT, Rosfinmonitoring, MUMTsFM, and PJSC “PSB Bank.”
For four days, experts in teams improved the draft of the future Financial Security Concept of the Russian Federation. The work on the section of the concept “National Interests and Main Threats to Financial Security” was led by the Director of the Institute of Finance of the State University of Management, Galina Sorokina. Participants identified the key threats to financial security, proposed the conceptual framework and mechanisms to counter threats in this area.
On June 26, a reporting expert meeting was held, at which the director of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin, the rector of GUU Vladimir Stroyev, the vice-president — managing director for development of PJSC “Bank PSB” Ekaterina Kuzmina, the rector of the Financial University Stanislav Prokofiev, and other participants in the concept development spoke.
Yury Chikhanchin presented his vision of financial security as a key element embedded in the system of the country’s core values enshrined in the Constitution, after which the heads of the working groups reported on the results of their work on the project.
The final materials will be submitted for review to the interdepartmental working group established by the decision of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D.N. Chernyshenko.
Later that same day, the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the International Movement for Financial Security took place.
The meeting was held by the Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the movement, Director of Rosfinmonitoring Yuri Chikhanchin, and the Head of the Executive Committee of the Movement, Vice-President — Managing Director for Development of PJSC “PSB Bank” Ekaterina Kuzmina.
The rector of GUU, Vladimir Stroev, spoke about the establishment of a Center for the Development of the International Movement for Financial Security based at GUU. The work of this division is aimed at forming a culture of financial security at the international and Russian levels, developing the methodological foundation for conducting educational activities in the field of financial security, and supporting the International Movement for Financial Security.
The meeting discussed the results of the discussion on developing proposals for the preparation of the draft Concept of Financial Security of the Russian Federation, the results and prospects of the project “Heritage: Guidelines for the Future,” in which students of GUU actively participate, and the promotion of the International Movement for Financial Security and the Financial Security Olympiad in the CIS countries.
In addition, the meeting summarized the results of the first qualifying rounds of the International Financial Security Olympiad, discussed the upcoming evaluation of the next selection stages, and the final, which will take place at the end of September to early October.
Recall that the International Olympiad on Financial Security has been held since 2021 under the patronage of the President of Russia and the Government of the Russian Federation, and representatives of the State University of Management regularly take an active part in it. In 2023, the State University of Management was the operator for conducting the preliminary stages in new subjects of the Russian Federation, and representatives of the university received awards for their significant contribution to the development of the Olympiad movement. In 2024, two students from the State University of Management became laureates of the Olympiad.
