Caracas, June 26 /Xinhua/ — Several Chinese enterprises in Venezuela have mobilized efforts to provide assistance after two powerful earthquakes in the country. This was reported on Friday by Xinhua at the Chinese Embassy in the Bolivarian Republic.
According to the diplomatic representative, the company promptly responded to the natural disaster and, under the leadership of the Chinese embassy, coordinated its actions with local Chinese communities and business associations to participate in relief efforts.
Chinese companies provided heavy equipment and medical supplies, as well as sent rescue teams. As stated at the embassy, these companies are contributing to the elimination of the aftermath of natural disasters by taking specific measures.
As stated on Friday at the regular press briefing by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Geng Shuang, the Chinese government and the Red Cross Society of China provide Venezuela with emergency humanitarian aid. China is ready to continue providing the country with further support as the situation develops, the diplomat emphasized.
